Price Range: Toward the upper end of the market, many homes start in the mid-$600s and go into seven figures, depending on location and views.

Tucked away, this neighborhood is a popular Copperas Cove-Style subdivision in Tyler that offers a quiet, upscale, residential feel without being too far from amenities, schools, and shopping. For an additional fee, residents can access the community pool, as well.

The Crossing

Newer Growth and Beautiful Scenery

The Crossing is a newer community on the Southeast side of Tyler that attracts buyers who want fresh construction, diverse design, outdoor activities, and quiet streets with easy access to parks and schools. This South Tyler neighborhood has a country feel with its spacious lots, mature trees, and peaceful streets. It’s a calming area with an established neighborhood vibe and close access to schools and Tyler amenities. It is zoned for Whitehouse schools. It is conveniently located near the new shopping area at Cumberland Village and is near Loop 49 access.

Price Range: Mid-range homes often around $300k-$450k, depending on lot size and upgrades

Stoneleigh

Beautiful and Well-Located

Stoneleigh blends suburban calm with convenient location. Nestled between Shiloh Road and Grande Boulevard, Stoneleigh is near the new growth happening on Old Jacksonville Highway, putting it near schools, dining, shopping, and entertainment hotspots. It’s one of Tyler’s traditional favorite neighborhoods, situated near schools, dining options, the hospital district, and other amenities. Rolling topography, babbling creeks, and mature landscaping give this neighborhood a "home-y" feel. Homes vary in size from about 1800 sq. ft. to 4000 sq. ft. and offer varied floor plans and styles.

Making Your Home in Tyler

No matter where you choose to make your home, Tyler has plenty to offer in lifestyle, schools, and convenience. There is plenty to explore in Tyler’s many parks, trails, tennis and pickleball courts, baseball complexes, skate parks, lakes, fishing ponds, and community pools. Other outdoor fun can be had at local farmer’s markets, arts and crafts shows, festivals, and parades. If you prefer cultural enrichment, seek out the museum and art exhibits, local theatres, the East Texas Symphony Orchestra, or any of the performances held at UT Tyler or Tyler Junior College.

When it comes to schools, there are a plethora of choices, ranging from top programs in TISD, like Birdwell’s Dual Language Program, to private education, like Grace Community School, TK Gorman, or All Saints Episcopal School. There are also plenty of resources for homeschool families. And for the older students, there are dual credit programs and college-readiness programs available.

Shopping, dining, hospitals, and entertainment are all within easy reach in Tyler. Tyler boasts two malls (one indoor and one outdoor), and plenty of continued growth in the retail and dining sector. Top-rated hospitals and medical centers are close by to keep you healthy and living your best life. And if you prefer less traditional medicine, there are plenty of more natural or holistic methods practiced in the area. And for entertainment, there is everything from stand-up comedy routines and escape rooms to trampoline parks and movie theatres. Times Square Grand Slam even had bowling and an extensive arcade.

It is also worth noting that Tyler’s neighborhoods are all within easy reach of major thoroughfares and highways, such as Broadway/Hwy 69, Loop 49 Tollway, Loop 323, and more. Tyler is also only a few minutes from I20, which puts it in a prime location between Dallas/Ft. Worth and Shreveport, LA. Tyler is central to much of East Texas, which makes day trips to Mineola, Henderson, Longview, or Kilgore possible.
